Inductive reasoning is when you start with specific data or facts and use them to form general conclusions about how things are. Deductive reasoning is when you start with general conclusions and use them to interpret specific data and facts. The language of faith is DEDUCTIVE. We do not let our observations and experiences delimit our conclusions; we let our conclusions, rooted in divine revelation, inform how we see, experience, and interpret our lives. It is not just what God does, but what he says about what he does that counts.
