Turning off our inner dialogue from time to time, whether it’s through meditation, exercise, or some other wholesome and stimulating activity, can have a relaxant effect. However, the real problem isn’t that we have an inner dialogue. The problem is that our inner dialogue often consists of fear, stress, criticism and pressure-based thoughts. If we can purifying our thought patterns, then our inner dialogue can actually be a blessing rather than a liability.
