The Bible says “Be angry and do not sin.” Do you know what comes after that? “Do not let the sun go down on your anger.” The idea that people should walk around righteously angry all the time is not only terrible for health and relationships, it is unbiblical.
The Christian model is to 1) accept anger (it is a natural human emotion); and 2) resolve it quickly so it doesn’t wreak havoc in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
It is also worth noting that the anger we experience is rarely ever righteous. More often than not, it is the result of our pride, our ingratitude, our harsh judgments, and our lack of love for others.
